Washington, D.C. — Today, the Congressional Hispanic Staff Association released the following statement:
"CHSA members went to work today to serve their country. We stand with them as individuals on both sides of the aisle and with everyone in the Capitol whose lives were endangered by today’s events. We condemn the violence that puts them in danger and that is a clear act against our great nation. The U.S. Capitol is the home of American democracy—a government of, by, and for the people. We extend solidarity to our members, offer ourselves as a resource, and call on relevant leaders to ensure staffers’ safety."
